How To Change Your Pendrive Icon & Make It More Attractive With Custom Label (Name)!
About This Trick-
It is quite easy trick. Usually, we cannot rename our usb/pendrive with custom characters/languages. Also, it does not support long drive label.
This Notepad trick will allow you to rename pendrive with custom name and also you can use custom icon for your pendrive.
Steps-
1. Download any ICON file from internet of your choice.
2. Rename that file to any custom name e.g. I’m renaming it to myicon.ico.
3. Now, open Notepad and paste the given data into notepad-
[AutoRun]
label= your_custom_name
ICON= “your_icon_name.ico“
Example- I’m using custom name as Shubham’s Stock™ (It is the name of my previous blog 🙂 ) and my ICON file is named as myicon.ico
So my code will look like this-
4. Go to File >Save As… Change Encoding to UNICODE & Save the file as autorun.inf
*Note- It is very important to save the file as autorun.inf
5. Now Copy and Paste autorun.inf file and Icon file to your pendrive.
Optional– You can also hide them.
6. Done! Now Disconnect and then Reconnect your pendrive to your computer. You’ll see the results.!
